FLYNN
Michelle has been doing obedience for eight years and "Flynn" is her third dog. An amazing dog to train and live with.
Flynn is working the highest classes of C and Championship C (ticket), the first time Michelle has reached this level with one of her dogs. Flynn won out of B at the end of 2005 just before his third birthday and by May 2006 had qualified to work Ticket and gained is Obedience Warrant. Flynn has also gained the new obedience award 'C excellent' which is awarded for consistent places in Class C. Flynn has had many places in the Championship Class of which Michelle, rightly so has been extremely proud of.
Flynn and Michelle were chosen to represent Wales at Crufts 2007, working C in the Inter Regional class and reserve for the Obedience World Cup.
Owned by Jane Moran
I started training classes with my first dog, Jasper when he started to eat my house from under me. He was also master of the famous "I'll only come back when I want to" trick when I took him for a walk. So off to training classes we went and I didn't realise just how much fun it would be. I have attended classes with all my dogs ever since.
Attending GSD Club of Wales at the moment are Noah, 7 and Will 4. They have both been going since puppies and now compete in obedience competitions.
Both dogs consider Monday training nights as Party Night! Not only do they meet with all their friends but I too have made many two legged friends at the GSD Club, I have fun with my dogs and have a family of dogs that are well trained to behave in any situation and are a pleasure to own.

Bramble
Owner: Charley Cooper
Charley is 15 years old and daughter of Denise Cooper, Treasurer of the GSD Club of Wales. In her own words she tells us her story...
"I'm 15 years old and started training my Mum's dog when I was eight years old. I took her into a YKC class and came 6th. At the age of 10 my Mum bought Bramble for me. When I went up to see her I fell in love with her. I started training her when she was a couple of months old. She was a natural! She was amazing from the word go. I am pleased with her and we have done really well together so far. I qualified for Crufts with her four times but could only make it three times as she came into season as week before Crufts 2007. We mated her at that season and she had six lovely pups; 2 red & white and 4 tri's, my Mum kept one and three went to GSD members so I get to see them all the time which is great. I qualified three times for Crufts in the YKC class and in 2008 I was in the Welsh Team in beginners. I love training her on a Monday night at Club, she thinks it's all fun and games. She is the best dog in the world and I don't know what I'd do without her."

Steph is the eldest daughter of Club Treasurer, Denise Cooper
I started training when I was 10 years
old with my minature poodle. She was fab but a little possesive and would
never do an exercise which included me leaving her. However, she did qualify
for Crufts twice before being retired. I also trained Jane Morans Harvey in
YKC advanced obedience and went to Crufts twice. First time we came 2nd for
Wales and 3rd individually, second time coming 4th individually.
9 years on I have my Border Collies: Sky & Diesel. Sky is nearly 10 and i've
been training her for 5 years. She's a typical skitish farm collie who
doesn't like other dogs and used to hate shows. Now shes working very well
in her old age. She's currently in Novice and competed in YKC graduate at
crufts 3 years ago. Diesel is a year old and what a character...
Unfortunately at 7months he had OCD and had to have an operation and a long
3 months of rest and physio. He's now bounced back and is doing very well,
hopefully a star of the future. They both love Monday nights at dog club,
and I love chatting to friends down there. I have great fun with my dogs and
love them all very much. STEPH COOPER
